Group Swim Lessons:

Swim Lessons 2009 Schedule

Session 1: June 22 – July 3; Screening and Placement - Sunday, June 14 at 3 PM and  June 15 at 7 PM;

Session 2: July 6 - July 17 ; Screening and Placement  - Monday , June 29 at 6:00pm

Session 3: July 20 - July 31; Screening and Placement - Thursday, July 16 at 6 PM

Group lessons run Monday through Friday, at either 11:30, 12:00, or 12:30. We offer four levels of lessons starting with Pre-beginners who are typically 3-5 year olds, uncomfortable with the water. The second level is Beginner 1 who are usually 4-6 year olds and are comfortable with the water, but have never had formal instruction. The third level is Beginner 2 which tends to be 5-8 year olds and is focused on becoming competent in freestyle and backstroke. Our final level is the Advanced Beginner lesson which is usually kids above 6 and works on refining their freestyle and backstroke and introducing butterfly and breaststroke. Your child will be assigned a level at the signup/screening.

Cost: $60 for members, $75 for non-members per session, please bring a check to the sign-up.

2009 Aqua Tots:  The class will take place on Sunday mornings at Glenwood Swim Club for ages 6mos – 2 years.  This is a PARENT ASSIST class!  Children will have fun and become comfortable in the water.  Basic skills will be covered on how to hold your child in the water for basic swimming techniques.

2009 Pre-School Swim Class:The class will take place on Sunday mornings at Glenwood Swim Club.  This class is designed for children 2-4 years old.  It is a 30 minute PARENT ASSIST class!  Children will have fun and become comfortable in the water.  It will educate parents concerning safety procedures and aquatic teaching techniques.  It will include learning how to hold their child in the water and basic swimming techniques.
