Special News
To all Glenwood Members,
I'm sorry to inform you that the pool will close at 5:00 pm tomorrow (Friday, July 30) to accommodate a hastily relocated and rescheduled swim team banquet. The facility at which the event is traditionally held, the nearly Knights of Columbus Hall, has not been able to get full power restored all week and confirmed today at noon that it could not accommodate tonight's banquet, which has been reserved for many months now.
The pool is the most cost-effective and readily available venue to host this 300-member season-ending event on such short notice. This is an extremely rare development and one certainly not welcomed by the board or the swim team families, all of whom are, course, also dues-paying Glenwood members.
We are aware that the region's widespread power failures have created many problems for our individual members at home. We hope that this is the last of the inconveniences you will experience. Glenwood in August is quiet, restful and rather sparsely populated, so we hope you will enjoy a full month of uninterrupted pool use as we head into the second half of summer.
Apologies for this inconvenience to our membership.

Member, Glenwood Board of Directors
